Love is never confined to a single day!

Today, February 14th, is Valentine’s Day. For many, it is a day of celebrating the love of their life. For others, it may seem like a day for the remembrance of better times, or isolation, loneliness and separation from love. Card companies, florists, and chocolatiers ‘love’ this day as a money-maker on their business calendar, that’s a certainty!

For everyone of us, the important thing to remember today, and every day, is that you never need a man-made holiday to know you are loved! Signs are everywhere that we are love, are loved, and are never alone. If you are fortunate enough to be in a physical relationship with someone, you perhaps see it in that union. If you are single, perhaps you see love from family, friends and the animals in our lives that offer their unconditional love for us. Regardless, we are all loved by our spiritual families, those who have come before us and those that guide and support us unconditionally.

Signs: ask and you shall receive!

I have a good friend who always (and I do mean always!) receives feathers along her path; a sign that her angels are always there to offer their love and support.

Before I moved to Sedona in the summer of 2013, I had already been accustomed to speaking with my various Guides and Angels, and asking for signs that someone was there helping me on my own journey.

Once relocated to Sedona, I began attending a ‘Reiki share’ on Wednesday nights at Peace Place in Uptown Sedona. Soon after arriving, I received a heart that then-moderator Robert often gave to newcomers. It was fashioned from one of the red rocks that typifies the local landscape. That gift got me thinking how much I would love to find an ‘angel rock’ somewhere along my path as I hiked around my home or in the general area.

While it took over a year, right before I moved further west to Southern California, I did find my angel rock (pictured below). There was no mistaking that I received what I asked for…even if it was too large for me to take along. Hopefully, it still remains in place for others to receive their own sign that we never walk alone in life.

Other signs are always right there for us to notice

While I want to intentionally make this post short in order to post it today on Valentine’s Day, I did want to share an additional sign that I received prior to my move to Sedona. My second visit to town was for vacation in early February 2012. I had pre-scheduled a healing session with a local light-worker. Following the session, she had recommended that it might be beneficial for me to visit the local Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park for a period of meditation.

Since it was off-season, the parking area was chained off so I had to park on the side of the road below the Stupa. As I walked up the red-graveled path, there were numerous prayer flags that lined the path, hung tree to tree along the route. Along the way, I was attracted to two flags that I stopped to look at. The first one was red and included many hearts and the words ‘I love you’ twice, The second, a green one, had been curled over by the wind. I unfurled it and was shocked, mesmerized and in awe when I read the words ‘Clarity, forgiveness, healing, love of self for John.’

Remembering that movement still brings me a feeling of peace in my life, and a reminder that we never walk alone. Here is the photo I took that day:

This Valentine’s Day, may you find your own signs that you are loved. Remember, each and every day, that you are never alone, and are always loved unconditionally!
